Bo School Principal Engages OBBA National President on Land Matter

Bo School Principal, Rev. Hassan Kainessie, has held an engagement with OBBA President, Ngor Hadji Daboh, on the ongoing land matter involving Bo School property along Mattru Road, opposite Sober One Market.

During the meeting, the Principal briefed the OBBA President that the school administration has engaged the Land Commission and that all activities on the disputed site have been put on hold pending further action.

Rev. Kainessie also disclosed that the Chief Justice of the Republic of Sierra Leone has instructed Justice Bawoh to constitute a committee of lawyers to look into the matter.

Following the engagement, the Principal and OBBA President visited the site to assess the situation and further discuss the way forward.

OBBA remains committed to supporting the school in protecting its legitimate interests and assets.

Oldest Bo School Boy Alive

Ngor Dr.Sama Banya walked through the gates of The Great Bo School in 1940, he was 10 years old.

At that exact moment in 1940, OBBA was an 11-year-old organization.
This means Dr. Banya was born just one year after OBBA was founded.

He was 10 years old when he began his journey as a Bo School Boy.

592 @ 96: Dr. Sama Banya Turns 96!
What an incredible milestone!
As the oldest Bo School Boy alive, Dr. Sama Banya (Admission No. 592) is celebrating 96 years of an extraordinary life.

OBBA is older than him by just one year! While the OLD BO BOYS Association - OBBA was founded in 1929, Dr. Banya was born just a year later in June 1930.
By the time he stepped onto campus as a young Bo School boy in March 1940, OBBA was still a fresh, 11-year-old organization.
To have our oldest living alumnus closely parallel nearly the entire history and evolution of OBBA is nothing short of legendary.
