Achim Academy Center for Education

Achim Academy Center for Education we are an unaffiliated Jewish Orthodox Exceptional Student Education (ESE) school. Neytz haChochma ESE is the umbrella organization. Neytz haChoch

Achim Academy Center for Education (the AACE school) is the Day School, which also includes a Gifted Cohort. All Jewish children's hearts are open to Torah learning is the firm belief that underlies all aspects of our educational offerings. This belief is the foundation of our Day School, Gifted Cohort Program, Out-of-School Programs, and Summer Camp. Excellence in secular studies is essential for

all children in our academy. As an Exceptional Student Education school (ESE) we are privileged to work with some of the most unique children in our community. The intellectually brilliant, the artistically gifted, children with emotional and cognitive exceptionalities, are all given the individual attention and personalized lesson plans designed specifically for each to access their potential. By first determining a child's particular learning style, we discover the key to their future success. Our approach is to provide a foundation of love and structure in which students can seek self-discovery, gain self-esteem and come to realize their place in the world. We show them how to build on their strengths. By incorporating fun in the learning process, our students enjoy learning and become motivated to achieve in school and in life.

It is the end of the school year, and the AACE students have just “aced” their standardized tests. At the end of each school year, our students take Stanford Achievement Tests, or SATs. This year, SAT results exceeded their teachers’ and parents’ expectations. Some of them even managed to “jump” two grades in one year! They work hard, and now they deserve to have fun!

In the Jewish tradition when a student finishes learning one of the holy books there is a celebration called Siyum. Usually, for the student this is a small party with his favorite things such as ice cream or pizza. Here at Achim Academy Center for Education we have extended that tradition to include secular learning books, too. During the festivities the student is ceremoniously given his next book of study.

It was a special day - - Lag b'Omer -- and the excitement among the hildren was rising. They were going on an outing - - swimming, fishing, sailing, an open-fire cook-out on a deserted island - - what a glorious fun day was ahead of them.
