Leaders understand that being busy is not the same as being productive.
Leaders should evaluate their priorities by asking the three R questions.
1. What is REQUIRED of me?
(What must I do that no one else can or should do?)
2. What gives me the greatest RETURN?
(Where do I get the highest return on my time, strengths and energy?)
3. What gives me the greatest REWARD?
(What brings me the most fulfillment and satisfaction?)

26 yrs. ago, the three of us were high school counselors together at H.M. King Kingsville ISD
united by our desire to serve students and make a difference in their lives. Today, we find ourselves sitting in the same pew at church Saint Gertrude's, Kingsville, Texas united by our love for God.
Today at church I couldn't help but reflect on what a blessing it is to look back and see how relationships built through service can endure through the years and continue to grow through faith.
My heart is full of gratitude for the many ways God weaves our stories together. ❤️
Thank you both Jen Ch for being part of such a meaningful chapter of my life. You are two very special ladies and I am grateful for the friendship, memories and years we have shared together.

Who is one person you are investing in right now and how could that impact others in the future?

Leadership is measured not only by what we accomplish but by how we serve others.
Today I donated blood at a community blood drive Kingsville Chamber of Commerce
Coastal Bend BloodCenter and had the opportunity to meet Monique, an HM King High School Kingsville ISD student who is pursuing a career as a phlebotomist.
I dedicated my donation on her behalf so she can earn credit toward her Red Cord graduation recognition while helping make a difference in the lives of others.
Meeting young people who are already committed to serving their communities gives me hope for the future. It was an honor to meet Monique and support a cause that saves lives.
Generosity is one of the most powerful qualities of leadership.

Today, I watched my son Trey graduate from the Texas Certified Public Manager® Program at the Texas State Capitol.
One thing I know about leadership: growth never stops. The best leaders continue learning, developing and investing in themselves long after they earn a title.
Congratulations, Trey. We are proud of your commitment to growth, leadership and public service. Your future is bright. 🎓

This morning, I was reflecting on John Maxwell's leadership principle of generosity. One idea stood out:"Effective leaders don't gather things just for themselves; they do it in order to give to others."The longer I lead, the more convinced I become that leadership is not about what we accumulate. It is about what we contribute. Our knowledge becomes more valuable when we share it.
Our influence becomes more meaningful when we use it to lift others.
Our success becomes more significant when it creates opportunities for someone else. The true measure of leadership is not how much we achieve but how many people grow because of our investment in them. A question I am reflecting on today: What are you currently holding on to that could create greater impact if you gave it away?
