Welcome to Hebrew Academy!
Shani brings more than 30 years of experience in education and school leadership. Most recently, she served as the founding Head of Lanaar Elementary School and previously as Director of Lower School at Scheck Hillel Community School. She is passionate about mentoring educators, strengthening teaching and learning, and building school communities rooted in strong relationships.
Andreas joins Hebrew Academy after most recently teaching History at Katz Yeshiva High School in Boca Raton. He holds degrees from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Political Science from Columbia University, where he also taught in the Core Curriculum. His career has included teaching and research positions at universities in the U.S. and Canada, and he is the author of Recovering Reputation: Plato and Demotic Power. He looks forward to bringing his passion for history, political thought, and meaningful discussion to our Upper School students.
Brooke joins Hebrew Academy after five years at The Shefa School in New York, where she served as a Senior Middle School Teacher and Alumni Coordinator. She holds a Master’s in Teaching from Fordham University and is currently pursuing an Ed.M. in Teacher Leadership at Brandeis University. She is passionate about empowering students to become independent readers, writers, and thinkers.
Born and raised in Jerusalem, Sarah brings more than 15 years of experience in education, wellness, and creative instruction. A certified yoga instructor and lifelong learner of Torah and Kabbalah, she approaches H
