Today I had the privilege of presenting for mental health awareness month. And wow! What an amazing group of people. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with their senior vice president of supply chain and executive coach where we wove our methods around burnout, meditation and experience together for the group.
And then the amazing questions! The audience really brought their whole selves. 💖
It was a pleasure.
I am so grateful I get to teach meditation and speak to people about their wellbeing.
Thank you yo everyone who helped put this together.

Why I practice the same meditation every day.
And have for years.
I will often do the same practice for two months to 8 months!
Traditionally it is recommended to chose one practice and allow ourselves to experience the benefits over time.
Also, our external life can be busy enough. So, rather than jumping around in our practice. We stick with one and let it become a quiet space we cultivate daily and return to as our external world remains busy.
How about you! What works for you?

I have meditated when I have had the flu, been angry, sad, and depressed.
I have also meditated on days when I was in love with life, happy, healing, elated, brimming with ideas, and felt a strong connection to God, and the Divine Mother.

The practice always feels easier on the easy days, and harder on the hard days.
But, like any good relationship meditation requires trust.
Trust that behind all the noise, that meditation has your back and loves you through sickness and in health.
That you are benefiting on a subtle level when you might not feel it in an obvious way.
That meditation travels with you throughout your life as your companion.

I hope this helps those of you out there practicing!

Ever had a new goal that started to slip and you found yourself saying,
"I should".... insert desire here
And this language actually starts to feel guilty or like a form of self berating?!

When we are excited about our goal it motivates us to continue.
So! Replace "I should" with

You fill in the blank.
Let yourself reframe your goal so that you are excited and that it is something that you Want to do.

Lmk how it goes!

One of the benefits of meditation is that we open our lens of awareness. We learn more about ourselves, our thoughts, feelings, tendencies, and self-love.

Once we gain perspective and awareness we understand ourselves and our needs so that we can take action.
Action, such as taking a deep breath when feeling angry
Or taking a personal day off work
Or celebrating our inner joy

The awareness + action = empowerment

We empower ourselves to be more in the driver's seat of our lives.
By simply spending a few moments in meditation a day.

With so many types of meditation practices out there. I thought I would explain a bit more about the lineage that I have practiced for over a decade and am certified through

I have implemented these practices into my daily life and I can honestly say that my mental health is better on the days that I do! My internal dialogue is always more loving. Even if it's only 10 minutes. So worth it!

Today I am humbled that I get to call this my career as I share meditation at big companies, speak about it on stage at conferences, and work with you!

Let me know what you think!
