Today’s Groove class with Dr. Benjamin Whitman 🎻🎶
The students learned how to groove and create basslines in Jazz, Rock, Metal, and R&B/Funk today.
You can tell they had a great time because they were so sad to see Ben leave!

Amazing class today on Tune Writing with Dr. Steffen!
Dr. Steffen assisted the students in composing their own Jig based on the melodies created by each of the students.
It was a total blast.
The students will actually be premiering their piece this Friday on our livestream concert at 2pm 😏
The concert will showcase the talents of our students and help raise money for our scholarship funds!

Level 2 programming starts Monday 🔥

All students in the Level 2 Intermediate program are invited to perform in a masterclass for Jason Calloway, Professor of Cello at FIU & Cellist for the world-renowned Amernet String Quartet.
In this masterclass we will work on:
-Mock Audition
-Performance Practice
-Constructive Feedback and Advice from a world class cellist
It's truly an honor to have him be apart of our 1st annual Cello Fest here in MIami!

Professor Calloway was Ms. Stephanie's professor while she was getting her Master's in Cello Performance at FIU✨

🎉 ! New Announcement ! 🎉
So excited to share the news that Tinder Burris will be joining the Cello Fun Fest family!
Tinder will be teaching at the Level 1 program on August 7 & 8
Her classes will be:
•Perfecting the Bow Hold
•Tone Production 101
•Bowing Articulations

Tinder has dedicated her life to teaching young cellists in South Florida and has impacted so many musicians along the way.
She just retired from her orchestra director position at Southwood middle school and was previously the cello preparatory instructor at Greater Miami Youth Symphony (which is where we met!)
