Pregnancy Hormones: I am so happy! Am I really?? 🤔
During pregnancy, our bodies produce more estrogen which helps the uterus and placenta create new blood vessels and transfer nutrients to your baby. While these hormonal changes are good for the baby, it does wreak havoc on mothers in different ways.
Most commonly we experience nausea in the first trimester because of the pregnancy hormones. Our mood swings up and down, and sometimes anxiety creeps in.
Our body goes through massive changes too, 'the glow' of course being the best of it. Some of us gain weight or end up retaining a lot of fluid causing swollen limbs.
It's so beautiful that we get to create life, but it is also challenging and difficult.
Be kind to yourself today and always because motherhood requires lots of grace 🙏🏼
