Pregnancy Hormones: I am so happy! Am I really?? 🤔

During pregnancy, our bodies produce more estrogen which helps the uterus and placenta create new blood vessels and transfer nutrients to your baby. While these hormonal changes are good for the baby, it does wreak havoc on mothers in different ways.

Most commonly we experience nausea in the first trimester because of the pregnancy hormones. Our mood swings up and down, and sometimes anxiety creeps in.

Our body goes through massive changes too, 'the glow' of course being the best of it. Some of us gain weight or end up retaining a lot of fluid causing swollen limbs.

It's so beautiful that we get to create life, but it is also challenging and difficult.

Be kind to yourself today and always because motherhood requires lots of grace 🙏🏼

Share your best tips to help deal with mood swings.

What do you REALLY need to buy before the baby arrives?

Your first baby is about to arrive very soon, and there's so much to do!
Here is a list of things that you'll need in the first three months with your baby:

-Crib: Of course, your baby needs his/her own bed, right? There are highly functional and safe cribs out there. Along with the crib you need to buy a comfortable mattress and some water-proof beddings. Pro tip: Find a convertible one.

Humidifier: What a blessing these tiny machines are. The dry air may cause cold and cough in newborn angels, and these machines keep the environment balanced and humid enough.

Bottles and ni***es/ breast pump: In case you're planning to breastfeed your baby, you might need a breast pump and breastmilk storage bags. If not, then a baby formula specifically designed to fulfill your baby's nutritional needs. Pro tip: Buy a sterilizer that has a bottle warmer in it.

Did you know that your baby's cord blood can not only help your baby but also other family members if need be?

Cord blood is a rich source of stem cells, which can renew themselves. These stem cells are used in transplants for patients with cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. Cord Blood can also be used to treat several other life-threatening diseases.

Cord blood can be used to treat family members with potentially fatal diseases too. Of course, they have to be a match in order to be treated with stem cells, but the good news is their chances are pretty high if they're a sibling, parent, or a grandparent.

If you have questions about cord blood banking, feel free to send me a DM or check resources in the link in bio.

Cryo Cell International is the world's first cord blood bank and the highest accredited. They have helped over 500 thousand parents worldwide to safeguard their baby's future health.

Signs to Watch out for in the first trimester:

It's an exciting time for you and scary too. Here are some of the troubling signs you should watch out for in the first trimester of your pregnancy.

Vaginal Bleeding:
It isn't alarming to have a little spotting, but it continues and is more than just spotting. You should definitely have it checked out by your OB/GYN

Excessive Nausea: The most common sign of pregnancy is nausea, especially, morning sickness. But, when does this common symptom becomes a threat to your pregnancy? Excessive nausea can lead to dehydration. This is something to watch out for.

Pain in your lower abdomen: It might start as mild pain, but it could be a sign of a UTI or worse a fungal infection. If the pain persists, see a doctor for sure.

Your back grows, it's a boy.

If it looks wider- it's a boy.

Three Pregnancy Myths debunked!

You can't have s*x during pregnancy! WHAT!

We've all heard it. You should avoid having s*x during pregnancy because you might end up hurting your baby. Ladies, your baby is swimming safely in a pool of liquid and is heavily protected by a thick muscular wall. You do not need to stop having fun!

Creams help you avoid stretch marks. Really?

I hate to break it to you, but no evidence has been found yet that this little trick works. Creams and oils cannot help you avoid stretch marks.

Heartburn means the baby has a lot of hair! Haha

Nope, Nada! That is an old wives tale, my friend. Having heartburn has nothing to do with your baby's hair growth.

Tell us in the comments, what myths have you heard during your pregnancy?
