Meet Lola, one of MACC Vet Tech's favorite teaching assistants! 🐶

Whether she's helping demonstrate handling techniques or simply providing an extra dose of motivation, Lola plays an important role in creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences for our students.

Learning is always a little better when there's a dog in the classroom!

Learning new skills can be intimidating, especially when the patient weighs over 1,000 pounds! 🐴

That's one reason why simulation is such an important part of our Veterinary Technology program. Through hands-on training with our equine clinical simulator, students learn handling techniques, build confidence, and gain experience before working with live horses.

This safe and supportive learning environment helps students develop the skills they need to succeed, regardless of their previous equine experience. By the time they step into the barn, they've already gained valuable experience and confidence that helps set them up for success

One of a veterinary technician's many superpowers is caring for more than just cats and dogs. 🦎🐍

Our second-year Veterinary Technology students recently had the opportunity to handle reptiles while learning about normal physical exam findings, husbandry considerations, and common diseases affecting these unique species.

Experiences like these help prepare our students to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care for a wide variety of animals throughout their careers.

Way to go, Amanda! We are so excited to watch your career flourish!
