Superintendent, Mr. Ryder Appleton cut the ribbon and Deputy Superintendent Mr. Brad Andrews and Board Member Mrs. Lisa Lauderdale blessed the new playground!

McBay PreK and Kindergarten summer program students enjoyed visiting Gibbs’s Memorial Library and a trip to the Mayborn museum this week. They have been working very hard in the classroom and continued their learning while having a great time.

While summer is in full swing for learners, our MISD leaders are hard at work! Dr. Bonnie Bomar, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction along with Region 12 representatives, MISD Principals and Curriculum Coaches are engaging in Results-Based Evaluation System (RBES) training. Excited to be preparing for students for the 2024-2025 school year.

MISD will be offering Grab and Go summer meals for kids at no cost for kids 18 and younger and enrolled students up to 21 with disabilities.
Location: RQ Sims Intermediate
Breakfast: 7a-12:30p
Lunch: 11a-12:30p
Dates: May 28- June 28, 2024 Mon-Thurs. Weekend meals will be provided on Thursday.
*If child is not present, only Parents/Guardians of the child are permitted to pick up meals, to expedite process please have your Child(s) Cafeteria ID number present.
