Her hugs comforted, her words encouraged, and her presence made our classrooms feel like home. The impact Grandma Laura made on our students, families, and staff cannot be measured.
Though her chapter at Head Start is ending, the seeds she planted will continue to bloom for years to come. She will be deeply missed, forever appreciated, and always remembered 🩷

🌱 Our Garden is Growing! 🌱
Decades of research shows that children who GROW fresh food EAT more fresh food!! 🍽 We’re so excited to watch that come to life right here in our Room 4 & 5 classrooms! So far, we have started: Cucumbers, squash, corn, watermelon, peas, carrots, tomatoes & green beans!

Our children are loving the responsibility of caring for their plants each day! And more than that, they're also; attending & engaging, making connections, using classification skills, measuring their plants weekly growth & gaining knowledge of the stages of their plants' life cycles! 🫛🥗🥬🌽🍉🥕🥒

Soon, we’ll begin the process of thinning and repotting as we prepare to move them into our raised beds. ❤️
