Yesterday, the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi joined the Diocese of Metuchen and Catholics across the United States in consecrating our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country.

Together in prayer, we entrusted our nation, our leaders, our families, and our future to the loving care of Christ.

Following Mass, parishioners gathered in fellowship to celebrate this special occasion and our shared faith.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us and bless our nation. ❤️🇺🇸

📣 Calling All Evangelists, Catechists, Teachers, Parents, and Those Serving Young Children! 🌿✨

For the first time, the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi will host Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Level I Formation.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-inspired approach to faith formation that nurtures wonder, prayer, and a deep relationship with God in children ages 3–6. This 90+ hour foundational training is designed for adults who want to accompany young children in their life of faith through this contemplative method of catechesis.

🗓️ Part I: August 17–22 & 24, 2026
📍 Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi — Metuchen, NJ
💲 $360 per person (Part I only)
⏳ Register by: July 31, 2026

Part I and Part II are both required for full certification as a Level I CGS catechist. Part II registration will open in Spring 2027.

⚾️It was a great night at the Somerset Patriots Ballpark tonight! Our students had a great time with their families. Everyone was excited to see our school name up on the scoreboard. Thanks to the HSA for organizing this fun event!😎

🥰Our faculty and staff came together today for the annual “End of Year” luncheon at Lou Cas Restaurant in Edison. Principal Dalton recognized teachers and staff members celebrating milestone years of service to SFCS. Special thanks to the HSA for sponsoring this memorable event and to Mrs. Velona for all her hard work organizing and running it!🌟
