Nearly 60 members of the Falcon Football team proudly participated in the 23rd Annual Autism Beach Bash in support of Autism Family Services of New Jersey! 🙌

Throughout the event, our players represented Saint Joseph with professionalism and demonstrated the values of hard work, courtesy, respect and responsibility. Their positive attitudes and contributions to serve helped make the day even more meaningful for everyone involved.

Congratulations to the Cross Country team on winning their first White Division title in more than 15 years! 🏃💨 This accomplishment is a huge one for the record books, with Dean Wubbenhorst '28, Andrew Alvarez '27, Bobby Cahill '28, Joey Hajduk '27, Marcello Craig '28, Kevin Watson '27 and Caleb Murphy '28 all earning Athlete of the Week in the process.

The Falcons were led by Dean Wubbenhorst '28, who pulled the team’s top five runners along with him which helped set the tone for a huge team performance.

The JV team finished second, led by newcomer Anthony Hajduk '29, that paced the Falcons out in the front, to help secure the runner-up finish. John '30 and Matt '30 Cirenza led the way for the freshman team that finished in fourth place.

🤖 Robotics season is underway at Saint Joe’s!

Our FRC Team is back in the lab, revitalizing last season’s robot for upcoming offseason events, while our FTC Falcon Robotics Beta Team is preparing for its competition season.

Designed for freshmen and sophomores, the Beta Team gives younger Falcons the opportunity to sharpen their skills in building, programming, and problem-solving as they design a robot capable of completing tasks and scoring points in competition.

Shaurya Sisodia ‘28 was one of a small group selected for the Rutgers PHOENIX Service Corps Program, which accepts just 6% of applicants. Through the program, he supported local food pantries and helped raise awareness around free vaccination opportunities in New Brunswick, plus got a personalized tour of the AI Innovation Lab, building connections with biomedical engineers along the way.

The experience didn't stop at the program. Shaurya and his group launched BePrepared, a hypertension awareness campaign built to educate communities across New Jersey. He's already running a social platform to share accessible health information, with pop-up community events and school assemblies in the works!

Saint Joseph students joined the Metuchen community at Memorial Park for the annual POW/MIA 24-Hour Vigil. The Saint Joseph Choir and bagpiper Quinlan Burt contributed musical tributes as students honored the service and sacrifices of our nation's military personnel. Students also spoke with Walter Zjawin, commander of Metuchen’s Fugle-Hummer American Legion Post 65, about the honor and support for the memorial and veterans that were acknowledged on this day and forever in the Metuchen community.

💚 Service in Action

Students from our German Club and National Honor Society spent Tuesday lending a hand at the Hands of Hope Soup Kitchen in Edison.

Our Falcons helped unload a truck filled with food donations, stocked the organization’s storage unit, and packed nearly 100 grocery bags that will be distributed to local families in need.

Thank you to our students for putting faith into action and giving their time to serve our neighbors! 🙏

This summer, Nicholas Wilson ‘28 attended the PO Anthony M. Varvaro Port Authority Junior Police Academy in Jersey City, getting his first hand exposure to the real challenges of law enforcement today. The experience solidified his plan to pursue a career in Criminal Justice. One of the highlights was meeting Chief Brown after the Blue Mass during freshman year at Saint Joe's, then having him return to present at graduation alongside Mr. Carter and other alumni. Nicholas calls it one of the best days of his life!

That's the Saint Joe's brotherhood in action, connections made freshman year showing up years later to shape a student's future.
