Candler County Schools Robotics Teams

09/14/2026

Last week MES and MMS Robotics, along with MMS Ag, visited Go Fish in Perry, GA. This connects to this year’s FIRST LEGO League BioGlow theme, where students are exploring biodiversity and the amazing variety of living things in our world. Students were able to fish in the pond and learned so much about different habitats, species, and the importance of balance in an ecosystem. Some students even caught their very first fish! They will use what they learned as they prepare their innovation solutions connected to this year’s theme.

🌊 A Huge Thank You to Schmidt Ocean Coalition! 🌍

We’re incredibly grateful to the Schmidt Ocean Coalition for their generous support of this year’s MATE ROV Competition. Thanks to their funding, travel stipend scholarships were awarded—empowering students from multiple countries and U.S. states to participate in this life-changing experience.

Their investment helped break down financial barriers and opened doors for students around the globe to build, innovate, and compete in underwater robotics. This is what true impact looks like. 💙🤖

Thank you, Schmidt Ocean Coalition, for helping shape the future of ocean innovators!
