The Candler County School District is proud to celebrate a 94.2% graduation rate for the Class of 2026, reflecting the hard work and dedication of students, families, educators, and staff.
Metter High School achieved an outstanding 98.3% graduation rate, while Metter College & Career Academy posted a strong 87.5% graduation rate. Together, the schools celebrated 173 graduates, making the Class of 2026 one of the largest graduating classes in recent years.
The Class of 2026 also demonstrated success beyond earning a high school diploma, with students taking advantage of opportunities to prepare for college, careers, and military service.
During the 2025–2026 school year, senior dual enrollment students at Metter High School and Metter College & Career Academy earned 109 Technical Certificates of Credit and completed 1,953 college credit hours through dual enrollment opportunities. These accomplishments highlight the district's commitment to providing students with a head start on their postsecondary education and equipping them with valuable, workforce-ready skills.
In addition, five graduates from the Class of 2026 entered the United States Armed Forces, choosing to serve their country while pursuing opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Together, these achievements reflect the district's focus on preparing students for multiple pathways to success, whether they choose to continue their education, enter the workforce, or serve in the military.
These accomplishments represent more than numbers. They reflect years of commitment from students, encouragement from families, and the dedication of teachers, administrators, counselors, and staff who work each day to help students reach the finish line.

Our graduation rate, along with the technical credentials and college credits earned by our seniors and the graduates choosing to serve in our Armed Forces, demonstrates our continued commitment to ensuring students leave Candler County Schools prepared for college, careers, military service, and whatever comes next," said Candler County Schools Superintendent Dr. John Jordan.
