The Tigers Softball Team won both games today on an awesome Pink Out! The Tigers started with a win over Treutlen by a score of 8-2. Judson Vining threw a complete game with 13 strikeouts including her 400th career strikeout! She also added her 8th homerun of the season. Brooklyn Lawrence led the offense with a 3 for 3 game followed by Zailee Thurman, Lola Carter, and Emma West each with 2 hits. Althea Reichard and Nat Marks added a hit as well.

In the second game vs Portal, the Tigers would win 9-1 behind a great start by Maddie White in the circle. Maddie struck out 4 and scattered 3 hits. Zailee Thurman led the offense with 3 hits followed by Kinley Johnson with 2 of her own. Nat Marks, Lola Carter, Judson Vining, Emma West, Kirsten Shuman, and McKayla Fulmer each had hits as well! The Tigers move to 18-5 on the regular season. The regular season concludes tomorrow with a Double Header at Statesboro.

I would like to say a special Thank you to Mrs. Cheryl Allen and Mrs. Terri Bland along with everyone else who made this Pink Out game possible.
Coach Chayton Todd

The Candler County Foundation for Public Education campaign has begun! We hope that you will consider giving this year!

Have you mailed yours in yet?

A couple of weeks ago, letters went out across our community for the 2026–2027 Candler County Education Foundation Annual Campaign. If you received one, we hope you’ll consider supporting our students and teachers!

And did you know? You can also make a quick and easy donation online! Visit www.metter.org and click on Candler Co Education Foundation 💻

The Candler County Education Foundation exists to enhance educational opportunities for students in Candler County Schools by putting contributions from individuals, businesses, corporations, and community partners directly to work through educational grants.

In the past, Foundation grants have helped provide:
🤖 Robotics kits and STEM activities
🏆 Student competitions and club activities
📚 Conference and registration fees
🚌 Educational field trips
💡 Innovative classroom projects
…and much more!

These grants help extend learning beyond what is traditionally possible through federal, state, and locally funded classroom experiences—giving our students opportunities to explore, compete, create, travel, and learn in new ways.

💙 Your gift—no matter the amount—helps create opportunities for Candler County students.

If you haven’t mailed your contribution yet, there’s still time! Or make it even easier by donating online.
