That's why MVPASAP is proud to partner with Jennifer to offer a FREE Teen Positive Mindset Journal Workshop for youth ages 13–18.

Jennifer Roderick brings her own lived experience, compassion, and passion for helping others, creating a safe space where teens feel heard, supported, and empowered. Together with MVPASAP, our goal is simple:

✨ Equip teens with practical tools before life gets hard—not after.
This interactive workshop isn't a lecture. It's a hands-on experience where teens will:
📝 Reflect through guided journaling
💚 Build confidence and self-esteem
🧠 Develop a positive mindset
💬 Learn healthy ways to navigate stress, emotions, and life's challenges
🤝 Connect with peers in a supportive, judgment-free environment
As students prepare to head back to school, we're helping them build resilience, confidence, and the skills they'll carry far beyond the classroom.

Stay cool with us this week! With the huge help from our Water Department, the City will be offering giant sprinklers at the CGS and Gill Ave Park from 10am-4pm on July 1, July 2 and July 3rd for families to enjoy!

🌡️ EXTREME HEAT ALERT – STAY COOL & STAY SAFE! 💧

High temperatures can quickly become dangerous, especially for older adults, young children, and individuals with medical conditions. Remember to:

💦 Drink plenty of water—even if you don't feel thirsty.
🏠 Visit a local cooling station if you don't have air conditioning.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
☀️ Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day.
🤝 Check on family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who may be vulnerable.

⚠️ If you or someone you know experiences signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke—including dizziness, confusion, difficulty breathing, fainting, or loss of consciousness—call 911 immediately or go to your local emergency room.

A few simple steps can prevent heat-related illness and save lives. Stay hydrated, stay cool, and take care of one another! ❤️

Massachusetts Sees Huge Drop in Opioid Deaths, First Time Under 1,000 Since 2013 The number of opioid-related overdose fatalities fell below 1,000 for the first time in more than a decade in 2025, state health officials said Friday, marking a significant improvement since Massachusetts broke a devastating record a few years ago.

💜 Overdose Awareness Day – August 31, 2026 💜

Every life lost to addiction mattered. Every story deserves to be remembered.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, at Noon, MVPASAP will host a special LIVE Overdose Awareness Day Broadcast from Methuen Community Studios. During the program, we will honor and remember those who have lost their lives to addiction by speaking each person's name aloud and sharing their photo in tribute.
