🇺🇸Veterans Day Assembly Invitation 🇺🇸

We’re honored to once again celebrate and recognize the brave men and women who have served our country. ❤️🤍💙

Please join us for our Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11th at 10:00 AM at Murphy Elementary.

All Veterans and their families are invited to gather in the library at 9:15 AM for morning refreshments before the ceremony, and again afterward to connect and share in this special day together. ☕️🥐

Our assembly will include a Boy Scout Flag Ceremony, National Anthem, and a special slideshow honoring our Murphy Family Veterans.

Thank you to everyone who made tonight’s trunk or treat a success. To everyone who hosted a trunk, donated candy, staff who set up the hallway and to all who attended we appreciate each and every one of you. 🎃👻 Join the Halloween Costume Bounce Party! 👻🎃

Our friends at EPIC Inflatables are hosting a fun-filled Halloween Costume Bounce Party this Friday, October 31st from 11 AM – 4 PM at Past Tense Cider Mill! 🍎🎪

They’re giving back to our schools — and making it an EPIC day for all our Lapeer Lightning families! ⚡

💥 Regular entry is $12, but Lapeer Lightning kids get in for just $10!
At entry, just let them know what school you’re with and EPIC Inflatables will donate $2 per child back to that school as rental credit (usable within 6 months).

Book fair is coming in just a few days. This year we wanted to make it easier for the students to keep track of their money. Today or tomorrow you will be getting a blue envelope sent home. That is for you to put your child’s money in it or if they have an eWallet you can write that on the front as well. You can also include the flyer if you picked specific books you want your child to purchase 😊 We have kids misplace their money and we are hoping this will help with that. There is also a spot on the envelope where you can circle if you want your child to have the non book items. Many times the kids will gravitate towards the non book items. We always encourage them to get at least one book but cannot force them to. With this envelope if a certain thing is circled then we can follow that. Non book items would include journals, pens, erasers, toys, slime, etc. You are welcome to make any notes you would like us to know on the envelopes 😊

I have also updated the sign up genius to have class times so that if you can only volunteer when your child is in there, then you can now see when that time slot is. We are in need of volunteers so if you are available please sign up in the link in the comments 😊
