ICYMI 🎉Congratulations to Derek Rose on joining the Warrior Family at East Jefferson High School as their new head football coach.

Coach Rose brings a strong background of success at both the collegiate and high school levels, where he has consistently developed standout linebackers and high-performing defensive units. Most recently at the collegiate level, he coached All-Conference players and led a unit that ranked among the best in the SWAC.
He has contributed to championship teams, record-setting defenses, and program-building success.

We are excited to welcome Coach Rose and look forward to the leadership and impact he will bring to the Warriors program.

EJHS is pleased to recognize the class of 2026, who will graduate at the Pontchartrain Center on Saturday, May 16th @ 2pm. Below is a message from Principal Thomas Chaze to the senior class.

Dear Seniors,

It is an honor and a privilege to congratulate you and to wish you the absolute best as your high school journey comes to an end. Your graduation constitutes a significant achievement, toward which you have been working for so many years.

The wealth of knowledge you have acquired extends far beyond the academic contents learned in our classrooms. Throughout the years, you have strengthened your character, internalized important values that frame our community, and often sacrificed your personal interest for the benefit of others.

As you begin this new chapter in your life, the skills and knowledge you acquired will be the foundations upon which you will build countless amazing things. We look forward to witnessing and celebrating your accomplishments.

You will always be Warriors and you will always be at home at East Jefferson. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have the best job in the world. We are extremely proud of you. Congratulations!

EJHS welcomes its new football coach, Derek Rose

On Tuesday, EJHS was pleased to introduce its new head football coach, Derek Rose. Students, staff, and other dignitaries gathered in the gym to welcome Coach Rose. "Coach Rose is here to bring stability and to compete for district championships," said EJ Athletic Director Frank Guastella.

EJHS is proud to recognize Benjamin Guggenheim Benjamin for being selected as a recipient of the L.J. Hancock Scholarship through Music for All / Bands of America. This nationally recognized scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, character, and commitment within their music programs.

As a result of this honor, Benjamin will attend the prestigious Music for All Summer Symposium, where he will further develop his leadership and musicianship alongside students from across the country. The experience culminates in a final performance with members of the world-class Carolina Crown—an elite drum corps recognized nationally for excellence in marching arts.

We can't wait to see all that he learns and is able to bring back to the band at East Jefferson High School! Congratulations Benjamin!
