October 12 is El Día de la Raza in many countries; a day to celebrate the cultural diversity 👩🏾👦🏻👦🏽👦🏿👩🏽 that is «la Raza».
October 12, 1492 marked the beginning of contact between the Americas & Europe. The US 🇺🇲commemorates this event on the second Monday in October as Columbus Day. Other countries choose to commemorate the same event from a different perspective: one that honors ALL the experiences of ALL peoples that have been influenced through the trajectory of this important historical event 😄😔😡.
