💚☘️ Loreto Move-In Night! ☘️💚

Thursday evening, our Loreto Early Learning Center welcomed our PK1 & PK2 families for Move-In Night! It was so wonderful seeing so many new faces along with our returning families as we get ready to begin the 2026-2027 school year!

We have to give a HUGE shoutout to our amazing Loreto ladies! They had just FOUR days to get everything ready for the new school year. From cleaning and organizing to preparing classrooms and making sure every little detail was ready for our students, these ladies worked so hard and did an AMAZING job!

Now everything is ready and we are counting down the days! We can’t wait to see all those sweet little faces walk through the doors on Monday!

💚💛 That’s a wrap on In Service Week! 💛💚

Today was our final day of In Service, and there was no better way to begin than together in church for Mass.

After Mass, our faculty and staff spent the morning in meetings before being treated to a delicious lunch from our amazing Men’s Club! Thank y’all so much for always supporting and taking such great care of us!

The afternoon was spent putting those final touches on classrooms and getting everything ready because next week our students are back!

We ended our day right back where we started, in church, for a beautiful Praise & Worship led by Ms. Naquin, bringing our entire faculty and staff together in prayer and song.

There’s truly nothing better than starting AND ending our day in church, keeping Christ at the center of all we do.

Our hearts are full, our classrooms are ready, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back for the 2026–2027 school year!

💚💛 In-Service Day 3! 💛💚

Day 3 of In-Service was all about preparation for the 2026–2027 school year! Our faculty and staff spent the day participating in grade-level meetings, preparing for MAP testing, working in classrooms, and getting everything ready to welcome our students back to campus!

We were also treated to a wonderful lunch from our amazing HSA! They put so much thought and love into every detail, beautifully incorporating our school theme for the year into the luncheon. Each faculty and staff member even received a loaf of bread along with special stickers featuring our 2026–2027 school theme—such a meaningful and thoughtful touch!

We are so grateful for our HSA and the many ways they continue to support and celebrate our faculty and staff. The excitement is building, the classrooms are coming together, and we are getting closer to welcoming our students back for another wonderful year at St. Benilde!

📚✨ Day 3 of In-Service was another day filled with learning, collaboration, and preparation for an incredible 2026–2027 school year!

We began the day hearing from our very own Ms. Lauren, Behavior Interventionist, and Mrs. Heather, Director of our Exceptional Learners Program, as they shared valuable information about our Exceptional Learners Program and the many ways we support students in helping them reach their full potential.

We were then joined by our guest speakers from Brennan Behavior Group. Kameron and Julia led our first presentation, followed by Miranda and Jenna. They provided insightful and engaging sessions on autism, behaviors, the differences between BCBA and ABA services, and how these supports help students thrive both academically and socially. We are so grateful for their expertise and the knowledge they shared with our faculty and staff.

Lunch was another treat as everyone enjoyed a delicious Brunch for Lunch, giving our faculty and staff time to relax and connect before the afternoon sessions.

After lunch, our Executive Committee Panel shared updates from their respective departments. Mrs. Alex, Director of Advancement, spoke about the exciting initiatives taking place to support and strengthen our school community. Mrs. Jena, Director of Admissions & Communications, shared an admissions update and celebrated the exciting growth St. Benilde is experiencing as we begin the new school year.

We wrapped up the day with additional planning and preparation as we continue getting everything ready to welcome our students back. Every day of In-Service strengthens our team and equips us to provide the very best experience for our students and families.

📚✨ Day 2 of In-Service is in the books!

Today our faculty and staff continued preparing for an exciting 2026–2027 school year. We spent the day reviewing schedules, handbooks, and important information to ensure we are ready to welcome our students back with confidence, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to excellence.

A special thank you to our incredible Grandparents Club for treating us to a delicious homemade lunch, creating such a beautifully decorated space, and making the day even more fun with raffles featuring wonderful prizes, from gift cards to beautiful home décor and other thoughtful gifts. Your generosity, thoughtfulness, and love for our school community truly made us feel appreciated.

Each day brings us one step closer to welcoming our students back home to St. Benilde, and we can't wait for an amazing year ahead!

Our faculty and staff officially kicked off In-Service Week today with a wonderful day of faith, fellowship, and fun!

This morning, we joined Catholic schools from across the Archdiocese of New Orleans at Xavier University for a beautiful Day of Formation. We were blessed with an uplifting time of praise and worship, celebrated Mass with Archbishop Checchio, and heard inspiring messages from our Executive Director and Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Dr. RaeNell Houston, and Fr. Rodrigue.

After returning to St. Benilde, we continued the celebration with a faculty and staff social, enjoying a delicious catered lunch followed by a lively game of Bunco filled with lots of laughs and friendly competition.

What a wonderful way to begin a new school year together! We are grateful for this time to grow in our faith, strengthen our community, and prepare our hearts for an amazing school year ahead. Here’s to a fantastic week of in-service and an even better 2026-2027 school year!

Before the school year officially begins, our 2026–2027 Student Council came together yesterday for a day of leadership, teamwork, and service at their annual retreat!

The day was filled with icebreakers, team-building activities, planning for the exciting year ahead, and plenty of laughs as they got to know one another better. They also rolled up their sleeves to help move furniture around campus and created tie-dye shirts that they’ll proudly wear throughout the year.

A special thank you to our wonderful Student Council moderators, Mrs. Jessica, Ms. St. Germain, and Mrs. Monistere, for planning such a meaningful day and for investing their time, energy, and hearts into developing these young leaders. Your guidance and dedication will help shape another successful year for our Student Council.

We are so proud of this incredible group of student leaders for jumping right in with servant hearts, positive attitudes, and a willingness to help wherever needed. We can’t wait to see the positive impact they will make on our school community this year. Here’s to an amazing 2026–2027 school year—it’s going to be a great one!

We couldn’t let the day end without wishing one of our favorite deacons, Deacon Stephen Gordon, a very Happy Birthday!

Congratulations to Mrs. Karen Virga and St. Benilde School!

We are honored to have been selected as one of the eight finalists for the Solomon Golomb Award presented by the STEM Library Lab. While we did not receive the $5,000 grant, we are incredibly grateful for the nomination and the opportunity to learn more about becoming active members of the STEM Library Lab community.

It was especially meaningful to see Mrs. Karen Virga and her son, Mr. Virga, both proud teachers at St. Benilde School, representing our school together. Their dedication to inspiring curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in our students is something we are truly blessed to have.

Congratulations, Mrs. Virga! Thank you for continually seeking new opportunities to enrich the educational experience for our St. Benilde students. We are proud of you!
