Alumna Spotlight: Katie Ibarra ’06 💚

On Monday, August 10, we had the privilege of welcoming Katie Ibarra ’06 back to campus to speak with our faculty and staff as we prepare to consecrate Archbishop Chapelle High School to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus during our first school Mass of the year.

Katie shared a beautiful, faith-filled reflection on what it means for the Sacred Heart to be our refuge and how we can create that same sacred space for our students, where they feel known, loved, protected, and supported.

We are so grateful to Katie for sharing her wisdom, faith, and love for Chapelle with our community.

Such a sweet gesture - our alumnae board handed out memory boxes to all the seniors! They have a special memory box in their senior colors, decorated with their senior flower and quote, that can hold all their Senior memories and treasures!!!

Thank you to members of our Alumnae Board who made the Class of 2027’s Check-In Day even more special with these Memory Boxes🩵🩵🩵

It’s the perfect keepsake that they can put all their senior items in throughout the year!

🥎🌟 INCOMING 8TH GRADER MARISA SCHUBERT NOMINATED FOR SUGAR BOWL ATHLETE OF THE MONTH! 🌟🥎
We're thrilled to celebrate incoming 8th grader Marisa Schubert, who was nominated for Sugar Bowl Athlete of the Month after an outstanding July performance!
Marisa starred for the Eastbank Little League 12-and-under team, leading them to district and state championships before advancing to the Regional Championship game on ESPN.
July Stats:
• .615 batting average (8-for-13)
• 2 home runs 🚀
• 2 doubles
• 8 RBIs
• 1.231 slugging percentage
• 1.864 OPS 🔥
Marisa delivered her best performances when her All-Star team needed them most, showcasing clutch hitting and leadership behind the plate.
We can't wait to see her bring this talent and competitive spirit to Archbishop Chapelle! 🐿️💚
