Alumna Spotlight: Christie Clements Taliancich ’97 💚

We are proud to spotlight Christie Clements Taliancich ’97, owner of Small World Daycare of Destrehan. After stepping away from a corporate career in 2008, Christie followed a calling to serve families through early childhood care. What began as in-home childcare in her living room has grown into a fully licensed facility serving more than 90 families in St. Charles Parish and surrounding areas.

Christie credits her faith and Chapelle foundation for guiding her journey, sharing that "Deus Providebit — God Will Provide" has been the backbone through every challenge.

She shares, “Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life!”

Career Engagement Spotlight: Taylor Tom ’16 💚✨

We were excited to welcome Taylor Tom ’16 back to campus as part of our Career Engagement Series, where she shared her experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this meaningful career, Taylor helps children develop communication skills, whether they are learning to communicate for the first time or working toward clearer speech.

Speech-language pathologists can also support adults who experience communication difficulties due to medical concerns such as strokes or neurological diseases. Taylor currently works with children ages 0-3 in their homes and daycares, helping them build important communication skills during some of their earliest years.

Thank you, Taylor, for sharing your career journey with our students and showing them the impact of helping others find their voice!
