A good example of bad college admissions advice from a reputable publication. "Demonstrated-interest matters at Ivies?" Puh-leeze. And, those high early admit rates are misleading. Anyone who had done his homework or had access to a real Ivy reader knows those early rounds include recruited athletes and legacies. Remove those from the stats, and you're left with roughly the same single-digit rates. Trust your professional counselor, not the media.
