Archbishop Rummel High School

While our faculty were preparing to welcome our Raiders back to campus for a new school year, Rummel’s own Dr. Brian Credo was busy helping prepare the next generation of physicians.

Dr. Credo was invited by his medical school alma mater, LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine, to speak to the incoming Class of 2030 as they wrapped up their orientation week.

In addition to teaching Biomedicine at Rummel, Dr. Credo serves on the faculty at Tulane School of Medicine in the Department of Bioethics, where he frequently speaks on the intersection of ethics and the humanities in medicine.

We’re proud to have educators like Dr. Credo on Severn Avenue, who not only teach our Raiders, but continue to share their knowledge and experience beyond our campus.

🍎📚 We are happy to see so many familiar (and new) faces on Severn Avenue as we welcome our teachers back for another school year!

Our faculty and staff came together to kick off the new school year with Mass, followed by dynamic professional development centered on strengthening our Catholic identity and innovation in education.

Faculty especially engaged in interactive, collaborative roundtable discussions that were meaningful, practical, and directly applicable to our daily work. Many described it as one of the most impactful PD experiences they’ve had at Rummel, and we are grateful for the thought, planning, and effort that made it such a success.

We can’t wait to see our Raiders next week!

☀️ That's a wrap on six awesome weeks of our annual Rummel Summer Camp! From water days to games, sports, and field trips, our future Raiders made memories to last a lifetime.

We already can't wait to do it all again next summer!

As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, courage, and opportunity, we’re giving thanks for the countless men and women who have defended our nation’s liberty and for the blessings of living in a country where faith, community, and service can grow.

From all of us at Archbishop Rummel High School, we wish everyone a safe, happy 4th of July!

Our new Raiders finished up Summer Orientation today with an etiquette lesson (including a very entertaining skit from some our Student Council members) and formal luncheon at Austin’s Restaurant.

We loved seeing our new Raiders on campus and can’t wait to see them again in August!

Day 7 of New Student Orientation focused on one of the most important parts of being a Raider: SERVICE.

Today, our newest Raiders put faith into action, serving throughout the community at Arc of Greater New Orleans, Second Harvest Food Bank, and by preparing meals for those in need. They learned that giving of yourself doesn’t always mean grand gestures; it means serving others with compassion, generosity, and love.

It was another great day to be a new Raider!

There were lots of smiles on Severn Avenue today as our newest Raiders returned for another day of New Student Orientation!

A special thank you to our Rummel Student Council members who lead today’s fun; teaching our new Raiders the alma mater and fight song, and leading games and competitions afterwards.
