I am in the process of moving to a senior living facility. My children encouraged me to go prior to needing it. It is nice however I feel I am much to independent at this point. Knowing it is the place I will live until I die is sort of limiting? I will still travel go as often as possible! Mia my sidekick will be with me so that is comforting! Keep in touch!!

When I started to report all of the posts about medical issues from Dr. Oz I started to get bombarded with them???

Hi I am almost finished training to be a Contact Tracer in my area of NC. Since we are all at home with nothing to do I thought I could contribute. It is almost volunteer since the pay is minimal but at least I am productive. I will let you know how it goes. Ginger

After watching 60 Minutes Sunday and the expose' on the increasing cost of Generic Meds 200% to 400% on some medications I feel we should contact our own Representatives to have some action. They proved it is a collision between the pharmacy companies. It is costing Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance companies and us!! If we do not compain and just keep paying then they will never be held accountable. We can make a difference.

JPS (John Peter Smith ) in Fort Worth Texas excellent care for my brother when he needed Trauma care- But that is where it ended. They transferred him to another facility with NO MEDICAL RECORDS. The nurses at the receiving hospital called numerous times to try to get orders for treatment and had to ask the family what medications he was taking. It was weeks before they were able to get the complete medical records. Now that he is more stable and ready to transfer to rehab they cannot get final clearance from one of the Drs Douglas Dickson to get orders for him to transfer. All of these incidents are putting the patient at risk, using up Medicare dollars and mismanaging patient care.
