THE CLASS OF 2031 AT CHIPSTART❤️

ChipStart for the Class of 2031 has officially wrapped up, and what an experience it has been! They had their very own Rally, participated in a Mock-Bunny Bucks Auction, got comfortable in spaces on campus like the ARC, and celebrated their first-ever Mass and retreat as a class.

We've loved having them on campus with us over the past two weeks, and we know that their special Chapelle moments are just beginning. See you in August!!!✏️✏️

In Loving Memory of John Theriot 💚

The Chapelle community mourns the loss of John Theriot, a beloved friend, devoted supporter, and faithful champion of Archbishop Chapelle High School.

John and his wife, Joanna, were honored as the 2022 Deus Providebit Award recipients in recognition of their extraordinary generosity and commitment to our mission. Together, they played a vital role in advancing major campus initiatives, including the St. Joan of Arc Center and Incarnate Word Hall, and were steadfast supporters of cherished traditions and fundraisers such as the Craft Fair, Emerald Gala, and Chipmunk Classic. John also faithfully served on Chapelle’s Advisory Board, offering leadership and guidance to help strengthen the future of our school.

A proud Chipmunk parent to Ella Theriot ’21, John treasured his family’s deep roots at Chapelle. His sisters Sally ’68, Nancy ’74, Jane ’75, Audrey ’76, and Theresa ’78, along with his sister‑in‑law Christy ’73, are alumnae. His nieces Katie ’96, Jill ’96, Jamie ’00, Laura ’00, Melissa ’02, and Mary ’10 continued the tradition, followed by his great‑niece Jena ’26. Archbishop Chapelle High School was not simply a school to John; it was family, legacy, and home.

His kindness, humility, and unwavering belief in Catholic education will leave a lasting mark on our community, as well as on his Alma Mater, Archbishop Rummel High School. We are deeply grateful for his life and legacy and ask that you join us in praying for Joanna and the entire Theriot family.

Anchors Aweigh with Julie Mullen '27! 💚⚓

Julie Mullen ’27 recently had the incredible opportunity to travel aboard the USS Kearsarge following the Sail250 celebration in New Orleans, sailing from Louisiana to Virginia as part of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps! 🇺🇸

During the voyage, Julie explored life aboard the ship, even visiting the bridge and helping steer for a few minutes. She toured the brig, lived alongside sailors for the week, and built lasting connections with the crew.

One of the most meaningful moments was meeting the ship’s captain, a strong female leader whose example made a lasting impression.

We are so proud of you, Julie!

CHIPS AT LASC 🫶🌷🤗

Six Chapelle student leaders attended the LASC 2026 Workshop at Northwestern State University, where they strengthened their leadership skills through interactive sessions, team-building, and meaningful collaboration with students from across Louisiana.

Representing Chapelle were Audrey Dubuc '27, Victoria McCann '27, Anna Claire Occhipinti '28, Lauren de la Gardelle '28, Sloan Boudoin '28, and Kasey Orlando '29.

Sloan shared, “What I took away most was the positive environment and how seen and heard it made me feel… The inclusivity and love at LASC is truly like no other.”

We are so proud of these young women and can’t wait to see how they bring what they learned back to Chapelle this year! 💚
