Parkway After Hours Party generated $3,000 for the LRA Education Foundation through a winning bid during the Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Co. Auctions in August fundraiser. Parkway Bakery and Tavern’s Justin Kennedy, who also serves as LRAEF Director, came up with this unique way to give back, and we’re incredibly grateful for his generosity and continued support of the Foundation. LRAEF Executive Director Jen Killian and LRA President/CEO Stan Harris accepted the check from the Gulf Coast Bank team.

Louisiana ProStart Program educators gathered at the Louisiana Culinary Institute on September 18 for specialized training in ProStart competitions. Regional VP of Sales at Sysco of New Orleans, Jason Jones, facilitated a session on the management competition.

After, Chefs C**t Patin and David Whitmore led sessions on menu costs and hands-on kitchen experience.

Thank you to LCI for hosting and providing meals for the educators, and thank you to our sponsors for making these invaluable opportunities possible!
