Let’s finish strong, Bissonet!

9-2-5 was all about Dolly! 👑
Our day started with a Cup of Ambition, a sweet treat, and a little Dolly-inspired music. 🎶
Let’s continue sharing a smile, spreading kindness, inspiring readers, and making every day a little brighter! 💕✨

Every Day Counts at Bissonet!

In August, our schoolwide student attendance rate was 94.08%. We are proud of the strong start, but we know we can do even better.

We have 3 school days left in September. Let’s finish the month strong and see if we can beat our August attendance rate!

Every day in school is another day to learn, grow, connect, and succeed. Let’s make these last three days count!

5th Grade was the top grade level in August with the highest attendance rate. Will they keep the title for September?

Let’s show up!
*of course, if your child is sick- please stay home.

Great work, First Grade!

All three of our First Grade teachers have now survived a full day in the duck costume! 😂 Today, Ms. Webster waddled her way around campus!

It’s no surprise that First Grade is bringing the competition… they have the top-selling students in their classrooms!

Just a few more days left! Keep sharing those shopping links and let’s finish strong!

Register here: givingmarket.shop and search Bissonet Plaza.

We have just a few more slap starz left. If your child hasn’t received one, you must register and send the shopping link to 10 people!

We’re in the final stretch! We are 70% of the way to our fundraising goal!

So many kids are checking in to see if they’ve earned their Slap Starz bracelet, but we’re noticing that some students are registered without any shopping-link shares!

Send your child’s unique shopping link to 10 people—texting the link counts!—so your child can earn their Slap Starz bracelet.

And thanks to one determined first grader, Mrs. Malbrough had to sport the duck costume ALL DAY! 🦆😂

Just a few more pushes, Bissonet! Let’s see how far we can get!

🚨 FIRST GRADE IS ON FIRE! 🚨

The top TWO student sellers are BOTH in 1st grade!!!

Is first grade going to stay in the lead?! 👀 Or is another grade ready to catch them?!

If your child hasn’t earned a Slap Starz yet, there are only a few days left! Send your child’s shopping link to 10 friends and family members—texting the link counts!

Let’s see who can make a move before the finish line! 🦆

A LITTLE FREE LIBRARY HAS JOINED OUR BISSONET COMMUNITY!

We are so excited to share that Bissonet Plaza School received a grant through Hachette Book Group and Raising Readers: Books Build Bright Futures to help bring more books into the hands of children and families in our community!

This library is for EVERYONE — our students, families, staff, and neighborhood community members.

The idea is simple:
📖 Take a book.
📚 Leave a book.
❤️ Borrow a book.
✨ Discover a new favorite.

You don't have to leave a book to take one, and you don't have to take one to stop by and browse. We simply want to make books more accessible and encourage more children and adults to READ!

Have books to add- if you are in the carpool line and waiting... put that car in park and drop off some book donations!

We hope this little library becomes a place where stories are shared, books are discovered, and a love of reading continues to grow throughout our community.

Take a book. Add a book. Borrow a book. Just READ!

Thank you to Hachette Book Group and Raising Readers for helping us put more books in more hands!
