Carousel Preschool

Preschool, it is our mission to uphold a quality early childhood program where children feel loved and encouraged, families feel trusting and supported, and staff feel empowered and valued. We do this by providing an emotionally supportive, diverse and inclusive, enjoyable, environment as the foundation for purposefully planned challenging learning activities to best support brain development, critical thinking skills and the comprehensive growth of the whole child. The Carousel Credo includes techniques from a variety of early childhood frameworks, creating a conglomerate of strategies unique to Carousel. Carousel values the importance of play and adventure by incorporating intentional learning objectives through play-based delivery. Our advanced kindergarten preparatory program utilizes researched-based curricula’s and methods of interaction to teach children the appropriate developmental skills to continue progressing and preparing for top rated elementary schools. Once targeted developmental skills are achieved, we push our students to advance to the next level of learning. Our practices are developmentally appropriate and comprehensive, encouraging the growth of the whole child. This includes targeting social emotional development, cognitive development, general knowledge, mathematics, science, social studies, creative expression, language and literacy, physical development and approaches to learning. Our preschool classrooms have high ceilings and large windows, each with exterior door to the our various playgrounds. Our campus is filled with multiple age-appropriate playgrounds, a trike track, gardening opportunities and outdoor sensory areas. Children are offered outdoor playtime throughout each day for opportunities to understand nature, to foster creativity, and to encourage physical and motor development while promoting developmental learning skills. Carousel’s leaders stay connected and involved in the early childhood industry. They communicate with education and early childhood agencies to ensure Carousel understands the most up-to-date research and data. All Carousel Lead teachers are certified early childhood education teachers and continuously engage in professional development opportunities. Carousel Cares.
