Just a reminder that Drusilla White will be performing her Senior Recital tomorrow at 3:00pm at Steinway Piano Gallery of New Orleans!

I’m am so proud of all of the hard work Drusilla has put into this program, and we would love to see you in the audience supporting her!

My long-time student Drusilla White will be performing her Senior Recital next Saturday, June 6th at 3:00pm at Steinway Piano Gallery of New Orleans!

She had a fantastic rehearsal today, and she has been working very hard to prepare this performance. We hope they you can come out and support her!

The non-profit I founded in honor of my late teacher, Mrs. Lynn Celestin, has been chosen to participate in this year’s Give NOLA day, which is now underway through May 5th!

The Lynn Celestin Pianists' Foundation is a local non-profit that I founded in 2023 that offers scholarships, performance opportunities, and educational outreach programs to local pianists ages 12-22.

This year marked our 3rd Annual Young Pianists Competition, which offers over $1,500 in scholarship awards to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize winners in each age category and features the winners in a recital after the event. This year, we also launched several educational outreach programs in conjunction with this competition, including two master classes and a peer-mentoring program that will begin in the Fall.

We are already discussing new ideas for next year’s programming, and we could really use your support for our upcoming 2026-2026 operational year!

We are an all volunteer organization, and all of your contributions go directly toward scholarships and programs that benefit our participating students.

Bean loves Hayleigh so much that he spends her whole lesson just blissed out on the bench next to her every week. 😂

Trevi and I have been preparing for her very first performance in this year’s Spring Recital, and she brought some very special guests to her lesson this week to hear her performance!

Needless to say, they were excellent listeners….and so quiet!

I think Beanie made a new best friend!

I started teaching Rimi so many years ago that I think she has met almost every dog in my life (even one of my childhood dogs)! I’m so glad she’s back for another magnificent round of “Guess the Chihuahua mix!” 😂

I would like to congratulate by voice student Zoey Guillory, who was recently accepted into the St. John the Baptist Talented Music program!

At 12 years old and with just a year of private lessons under her belt, this is quite an accomplishment for Zoey, who has worked hard to learn how to read music while also building her skills as a vocalist. She has developed excellent control over her voice and note placement, and she has also had wonderful music instruction in school that has helped her develop her sight reading skills and musicality.

Congratulations to Zoey on her hard work! This is just the very beginning of what I know she will be able to achieve in the years to come!
