Students in Ms. Markham’s class were challenged with building some cardboard reading forts that kids on campus would enjoy using in the library. These students loved using the Makeadoo cardboard screws and tools.

It was a FUN day of Battle of the Books Semi-finals at Black Elementary! The 4th grade Halli Dawgs will be advancing to finals. We are proud of ALL the teams! They read their hearts out!

Mesquite Reads Mesquite Reads is a community wide program formed in partnership between Mesquite ISD Library Services, the MISD ELAR Department, the Mesquite Public Libraries, and the Balch Springs Public Library in order to build a culture of reading in Mesquite.
