CP Preparatory School CP Preparatory School is a warm and inviting environment where children can grow socially, emotional gym and cafeteria. It’s all about the student at CP Prep.

It all started in 1997 when we had a DREAM for young learners! CP Preparatory School was built on a dream for young children to have a safe, academic environment that would nurture their learning and provide a bright academic future. Nestled within the heart of Mesquite, the CP campus resides on the historic Rutherford property down the street from Mesquite High School. There are two buildings of

classrooms for children ages infancy through Transitional Kindergarten, a library, two playground areas, a large 2500 sqft. Each child is viewed as a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of growth and development.

There's a special "Meet the Teacher" event scheduled at CP Prep, specifically for the incoming Pre-K 3 students within the Mesquite Independent School District. This is a fantastic opportunity for families residing in the Mesquite area whose children will be turning three years old on or before September 1st. If your child meets this age requirement, they may be eligible to enroll in Pre-K. Even if you haven't yet completed the registration process, you are welcome to attend the event and explore the school. This event will take place on Monday August 11, 2025, at 6:30P.M.

At CP Prep, we are firm believers in the power of play and artistic expression to facilitate learning in young children. For this reason, our Preschool 1 students recently engaged in a creative activity, crafting a beautiful quilt. The quilt served as a visual representation of the letter Q, allowing them to explore and understand it in a hands-on manner.
