It's time to show our teachers how much we appreciate all of their hard work and dedication, so let’s give the teachers in our lives a special thanks for all that they do during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2–6.

Here is your sunshine reminder that Spring Break is coming soon!! ⛱☀️💙🏝

Mesquite ISD will open with a 2-hour delay on Friday, February 25. Bus schedules will run exactly 2 hours later than normal. Staff members are asked to report at the usual time.

Two-hour delayed start times are as follows:

Elementary 9:55 AM
Middle 10:25 AM
High School 10:45 AM
Vanguard 11 AM

Additional details:

⭐️ Students enrolled in morning Pre-K for 3-year-olds will not have school tomorrow. Afternoon students will have school at the normal time.

⭐️ Staff members will be on campus at normal times to supervise any students that need to be dropped off early (before the delayed start time).

⭐️ High school students report to 2nd period.

⭐️ Tomorrow is an A day on the school calendar.

⭐️ CTE midday buses will not run tomorrow. CTE students who normally travel to another campus will remain on their home campus tomorrow.

Mesquite ISD schools will be closed Thursday, Feb. 24, due to winter weather. Campuses will continue on a regular schedule for the remainder of today; however, all after-school activities are canceled. Buses will run at normal dismissal times this afternoon. Please be aware that bus drop-off times may be slightly delayed as our drivers will take extra caution to safely navigate any possible road conditions this afternoon.

If you wish to pick up your student early from school today, you may do so by following campus check-out procedures.

We will monitor road conditions for Friday and communicate with families and staff only if we are not able to have a normal school day. We are hopeful to see everyone back safe and warm on Friday.

Due to current road conditions as well as the continuing freezing precipitation and very low temperatures, Mesquite ISD will remain closed Friday, Feb. 4.
