🎉 Mary Moss Elementary is welcoming a new assistant principal! Please join us in welcoming Chaslyn Reynolds to Mesquite ISD and the Moss campus community.

Chaslyn Reynolds joins Moss Elementary School as the new assistant principal, bringing more than a decade of experience in education. Most recently, Ms. Reynolds served as a second-grade teacher and team lead at Ben Milam Elementary in Dallas ISD.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Reynolds served as a kindergarten teacher and previously taught fourth grade in Dallas ISD. Ms. Reynolds has been recognized for her impact in the classroom and beyond, earning Campus Teacher of the Year honors in both 2016 and 2025. She is also a Teach Plus Fellow and a Texas Education Agency Teacher Incentive Allotment Recognized Educator.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in education and a Master of Science in counseling from Texas A&M University, as well as a Master of Education in educational leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Mary Moss Elementary is stepping up their focus on building a positive school culture through the Strengthening Belonging Through Inclusive Community Building Innovation Grant!

The grant will implement targeted initiatives to strengthen family engagement, improve communication systems, and foster a cohesive school culture centered on student success and well-being.
