🦵🩺 Culminating Presentations in Therapy Occupations! 🩺🦵

Our Senior Therapy Occupation students wrapped up their unit on hip and knee evaluations with impressive, in-depth presentations! Students were assigned an injury and developed a detailed case study, bringing together everything they’ve learned.

Students demonstrated range of motion (ROM), performed special tests, explained affected anatomical structures, and outlined appropriate treatment and taping techniques. Their ability to apply knowledge in a clinical-style presentation truly showcased their growth and readiness for real-world healthcare settings.

We are so proud of their hard work, professionalism, and confidence—what a strong finish to the unit! 👏🏼

🩸🎓 Carter BloodCare LifeSaver Scholarship – Now Open! 🎓🩸

We are excited to announce that the Carter BloodCare LifeSaver Scholarship application is now open! This scholarship recognizes students who are committed to academics, service, and giving back to their community.

Eligibility Highlights:
✔️ Enrolled in a college, trade school, or university for Fall 2026
✔️ Minimum 3.0 GPA(transcript required)
✔️ Completed at least 2 Vanguard HOSA blood donations during the 2025–2026 school year
✔️ Submit a 250–500 word essay on how volunteering impacts your community and personal growth
✔️ Provide 3 letters of recommendation (teacher, counselor, or administrator)

💄🧪 Hands-On Learning in PCT! 🧪💄

Students in Mrs. Spindle’s PCT class are getting creative while diving into their pharmacology unit! As part of learning about compounding, students made their own lip balms, giving them a fun and practical way to understand how medications and topical treatments are prepared.

This hands-on activity helped reinforce important concepts while allowing students to see how science is applied in real-world healthcare settings. Great job to these future healthcare professionals for mixing learning with creativity! 👏🏼
