🎓 The Class of 2026 is ready to celebrate! If you'll be attending one of Mesquite ISD's six graduation ceremonies this weekend, please review these important reminders before you arrive:

🎟️ Every guest, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the ceremony.
🚗 Prepaid parking is available for $12.
💳 On-site parking is $17. Cash is not accepted.
👜 Review the Culwell Center's clear bag policy before arriving.

Can't make it in person? 🎥 All ceremonies will be livestreamed! 💬 TAG a friend or family member who will be cheering on a graduate from home so they don't miss a moment!

BIG news for one of our own! 🎉

Join us in celebrating Adison, one of our incredible junior AVID students and PAL mentors, who was surprised with a $40,000 BigFuture College Board scholarship at our end-of-year pep rally today! 👏🎓

Adison continues to shine both in and out of the classroom—recently recognized as a Mesquite ISD 18 Under 18 recipient, competing on the track team, and serving as a dedicated volleyball manager. Her leadership, work ethic, and heart for others truly set her apart.

🎉 West Mesquite High School is welcoming new leadership for the 2026-27 school year!

Peterson brings 17 years of leadership and classroom experience in public education and most recently served as principal of Agnew Middle School.

Mr. Peterson has served in several leadership roles across Mesquite ISD, including assistant principal and registrar at North Mesquite High School, assistant principal at West Mesquite High School and middle school social studies teacher at Kimbrough Middle School. After beginning his teaching career at Agnew Middle School, he served as a high school social studies teacher in Rockwall ISD and Lewisville ISD before returning to Mesquite ISD.

Mr. Peterson earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University.
