This One Time chess class is for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS! The students will learn the names of the pieces, how they move, the names of each square by File and Rank and how to set up the board.

Coach Julie is an extremely enthusiastic chess teacher. My daughter enjoyed her class so much that she lost track of time and didn't realize that the class had already ended.

The students will learn about promoting their Pawn and the "d" and "e" Pawn Opening.

Fun times at the LD Bell HS chess tournament in Hurst, Tx! I had 3 students who attended.
So proud of my student Isaac, who received a third place trophy for winning 4 out of 5 of his games today!
