CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WONDERFUL TEAM MEMBER!
We are so lucky to have Patty Magdaleno helping all our students!
Today we are featuring Patty Magdaleno from Mesa AdultEducation, recipient of the Support Staff of the Year Award.
Patty has been the backbone of the Mesa Adult Education office since 2012. Although Pattyโs title is Data Clerk, she serves as a clerical aide, administrative assistant, support technician, student services, and office manager for the program. From the first day she came to us, she impressed us with her professionalism and positive attitude. After working with us for a couple of months, learning our processes, working with our students and teachers, and reorganizing the office, we realized what a gem we had found in Patty. Patty brings many skills and strengths to the program, but the two most impressive are her excellent customer service and her ability to streamline our crazy processes into manageable and logical procedures.
As an HSE recipient herself, Patty relates to students professionally and personally. She communicates kindly with students in both English and Spanish. Students, teachers, district staff, and visitors are all treated with the utmost respect and given clear answers to their questions. Her customer service is exemplary, and she easily resolves complaints with a smile. She is collaborative and promotes teamwork in the program.
Patty works with students, teachers, administrative staff, district staff and receives a variety of verbal and written communication from all over, and is recognized by all as a go-to person because of her competence and friendly attitude. Before coming to us, Patty worked in a variety of industries: accounting software, legal, trash industry, construction, and the public school system. She brought with her a talent for ripping apart inefficient processes and putting them back together into streamlined procedures that have improved our customer service, efficiency, and accuracy. Her revised processes have also improved team communication and our communication with students. Patty is a lifelong learner and seeks out professional learning opportunities that would improve both her job skills and program processes.
