Sometimes growth looks like slowing down and showing up. 💛

Kaelyn Flowers, an engineering student in the mechanical engineering systems concentration, is focused on being more intentional with her time — prioritizing meaningful moments with the people she cares about.

Her journey with the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, or SASE, began at a national conference in Boston, an experience that reshaped how she viewed the organization and inspired her to step into a leadership role on the E-Board.

Through community, connection and personal growth, Kaelyn is building both her engineering career and the life she wants around it.

Finding your place can change everything. ⚡

For Oliver Permana, a clean energy systems graduate student, attending his first Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, or SASE, national conference in Atlanta was a defining moment — one that confirmed he was exactly where he was meant to be.

Now, he’s working toward a future in the clean energy industry, with goals of contributing to more sustainable systems after graduation.

Through SASE, Oliver has built community while continuing to pursue opportunities in his field, actively seeking internships that will help launch his career.
