How can you submit a competition entry?
To submit an entry for the competition, respond to this email and provide your Axure prototype with a brief written description that lists and/or explains the design best practices you incorporated in your prototype.
Is there a deadline?
Yes. The deadline for submitting an Axure prototype is 5/5/2015. Early submissions are welcome!
How will you know if you won?
After faculty and industry judges have had a chance to make their decisions, HFES ASU Chapter will email out the results. Stay tuned!

Job Description:
As a member of a multi-disciplinary team in healthcare technology development projects, the interaction designer will facilitate the design and iterative testing of usable web-based Graphical User Interfaces (GUI). The candidate will have training and/or have extensive experience in human-computer interaction, participatory design, and some exposure to usability research and user-centered design. The candidate will be expected to produce requirements specifications, storyboards, wireframes, and low and high fidelity design prototypes. Familiarity with safety critical health care environments is desirable. The interaction designer will provide advice about the presentation of coded features and functions in the UI. Actual work activities will vary depending on each project’s scope and status. The candidate will design and implement the front-end for UI’s under development using html5 and css3 using the jQuery libraries as well as Javascript. Knowledge of MVC frameworks such as Angularjs is a plus. The candidate will need the skills to communicate effectively with human factors engineers, clinicians, informatics staff, database analysts, and back-end software developers.
