Last weekend, NSSLHA had a great time participating in E.A.R. Day 2025, hosted by the AuD program at ATSU! Our students led the Exploding Monster activity👹and loved collaborating with Audiology students and supporting Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children and their families.

🗣️Calling on members of our community 🗣️ Please share with friends and family!!! 🎄🤝 NSSHLHA is partnering with Navajo Christmas Airlift to help spread comfort, joy, and holiday cheer to Native American communities! From Nov. 3–14, we’re collecting donations of warm clothing, toys, non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, paper goods, and school supplies.🧤🎁 Drop off your items in Dr. M’s office and help make the season brighter for families in need. ❤️

🗣️ADVOCACY DAY🗣️ Together, we can do this! It is important to us nsslha students at ASTU to support legislation to improve access to public loan forgiveness for SLPs!!! !
Dr. Tiffany Hines took a moment to speak with two PA students about the critical role of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and the value of interprofessional collaboration. 💬 Since communication is essential to quality healthcare, increasing awareness of AAC among future medical professionals helps ensure that individuals with complex communication needs receive equitable, person-centered care.
