Hey look we're famous!
Taylor Junior High School recently presented a night of music and sweets called Suites and Sweets.
The performances celebrated the end of the chamber orchestra's chamber music unit. Student musicians were split into small ensembles to practice individually assigned pieces of music. Students learned independence, leadership, and how to communicate within small groups and handle criticism well.
At the event, the chamber orchestra was joined by their booster organization, which ran a silent auction that raised almost $700. Bidders went home with date nights, nail treatments, backpack packages and more from local businesses and community organizations.
The concert was a huge success, and the students wowed attendees with their talent. Way to go, Taylor Trojans!
