Sifu Juan Carlos Proano has trained Martial Arts for over 40 years beginning with Karate. After realizing the grand difference between

Karate and Wushu, Sifu Proano chose to dedicate his life to Chinese martial arts. There have been multiple coaches who have not only affected Sifu Proano's Wushu skills but they have also taught him to live a life of strong character. Sifu JC Proano currently training under his Shifu Shi Yanqing in Arizona. Sifu Proano established American Wushu Academy in 2012. He lives in Mesa, Arizona with his wife and three children.
