Happy Dolly Day at Cambridge Academy! 🦋📚💕

We couldn’t let this moment pass without honoring the life of legendary music artist and advocate Dolly Parton. Students and staff dressed in our best Western-themed fits (denim, diamonds, and sparkle!) and held a book drive in tribute to her lasting impact on children’s literacy through the Imagination Library.

We can only hope to carry forward a fraction of her sparkle, compassion, wit, joy, and wisdom. 🕊️

Meet the Kindergarten Teachers at Cambridge Academy! 🍎

Ms. Haley Jourgensen (aka Ms. J)! An Arizona native and Grand Canyon University grad, Ms. J has been creating a safe, loving classroom for her students since 2021. Now starting her fifth year teaching kindergarten here, she's ready for another year of adventure! 💛 When she's not teaching, you'll find her spending time with her sweet puppy, Poppy. 🐾

And Ms. Gina Cina! She brings years of hands-on experience, from working with children with developmental disabilities to earning her degree in Educational Studies at Grand Canyon University, with specialized training in Special and Early Education. She's passionate about meeting every student where they are, socially and emotionally — helping them thrive, hit their goals, and have fun. 🌻

Meet Rocky! 🐢 ☀️ Our beloved Sonoran Desert Tortoise.

He’s over 60 years old and lives in our courtyard habitat, surrounded by wildflowers and a lush sissoo tree. 🌼

He loves when students feed him fresh greens from our nearby garden (that our students tend to!), cool baths in the mini pond, and long naps in his den. 💤
