📚✨ BIG PUPS + LITTLE PUPS = BEST BUDDIES! ❤️🐾

Today was extra special at Mendoza! Our 6th graders from Ms. Pagel’s class teamed up with their 1st grade buddies in Mrs. Gaebel’s class for some awesome buddy learning time! 🤝📖

They kicked things off with a shared reading session and tackled a fun vocabulary matching game together. Afterward, our 1st graders got to color and dream big while sharing what they want to be when they grow up! 🚀🎨🧑‍⚕️

Our 1st graders are hard at work using math manipulatives to visualize math and help make abstract ideas concrete. Manipulatives support different learning styles, show student thinking, and boost confidence. They also make learning feel more fun! Way to go Pups!

What a week! Across campus, our instructional focus was on making Learning Targets and Success Criteria clear so our Pups know what they are learning, why they are learning it, and what success looks like.

We showcased how STEAM learning happens every day during Family Night, and had the opportunity to celebrate Mendoza’s growth and achievements during our Board Presentation.

And our Mendoza family keeps growing—at least six new Pups joined us this week! The word is spreading!
Through it all, our character focus reminded us to be ethical like Mulan—doing what is right, showing integrity, and making choices that reflect who we want to become.
Strong learning. Strong character. A growing Mendoza family. It was another great, great week!

At Mendoza, learning is a family affair! Family Curriculum Night gave parents and their Mendoza Pup's the opportunity to learn together through interactive activities, see what students are learning now, and get a glimpse of what’s ahead in the years to come. It was a great night of connection, discovery, and preparing our students for future success!
