Kids don’t quit because it’s “not fun anymore.”
They quit because it got uncomfortable.
They got benched.
They struggled.
They weren’t the best anymore.
They got exposed.
And instead of learning how to push through it…
they walk away.
But here’s the part nobody wants to say out loud—
A lot of the time, they were taught to.
The moment it stops being easy… we step in.
The moment they feel pressure… we offer an out.
The moment they struggle… we call it “not a good fit.”
That’s not protecting them.
That’s training them to avoid discomfort.
And discomfort is where everything is built.
Confidence.
Resilience.
Mental toughness.
None of that comes from staying where it’s easy.
It comes from staying when it’s hard.
From showing up after a bad game.
From working when you’re frustrated.
From not quitting just because you’re not winning.
If your kid quits every time it gets uncomfortable,
they’re not learning the sport—
they’re learning a pattern.
Quit when it’s hard.
Leave when it’s uncomfortable.
Avoid anything that challenges you.
That pattern doesn’t stay in sports.
It follows them into life.
So the real question is—
Are you raising a kid who pushes through discomfort…
or one who escapes it the moment it shows up?

Who would have thought two MMB teammates would hurl a 6A varsity no hitter in the same week! Pretty cool to see our young players follow the process and achieve such feats in HS. Congrats Niko Lekousis on such a great achievement! I have to best seat in the house and love seeing our boys develop.

Super proud of this dude! First varsity start and goes out and throws a no-hitter for the Higley Knights! So fun to watch a player develop and have success. Gonna be hard to top that one Patrick Bromund! Keep grinding!
