This might look different… but there’s a reason we do it. 🏊♀️
This is called a tuck & roll, and it’s one of the tools we use with swimmers who need a little extra help connecting their arms and legs during swimming.
By holding the swimmer’s ankles and helping initiate the kick, we can give them the opportunity to feel what an effective kick should feel like, especially when they’re having trouble remembering to kick while using their arms or are developing a bent-leg, “bicycle” kick.
The goal isn’t for the instructor to do the work for them. The goal is to give their body the right input and repetition so they can eventually do it independently.
Our instructors understand that sometimes the answer isn’t more repetition…it’s finding a different way to teach the skill. 💙
At Aqua Pros, we specialize in meeting swimmers where they are and finding the tools and techniques that help them move forward.
Different swimmer. Different approach. Same goal: water safety and independence.
