As we close the chapter on our very first Summer Camp, we can't help but feel incredibly grateful.
This photo may not include every camper who joined us over the past two weeks, but each and every child helped make our first camp an unforgettable success. From crafts and STEM challenges to games, sports, cooking, laughter, and new friendships, our campers filled each day with joy and excitement.
It is hard to believe that something we dreamed about and planned for months has already come to an end. While it is sad to say goodbye, we are so thankful for the memories made and the opportunity to spend part of the summer with such an amazing group of children.
Thank you to all of the families who helped make our very first summer camp such a blessing. We will miss seeing their smiling faces each day, but we are excited to welcome many of them back for the upcoming school year and others at future special events throughout the year.
What started as our first summer camp has become the beginning of a wonderful tradition, and we cannot wait to see what God has in store for the years ahead.
Have a wonderful summer!

What a sweet day at camp!
Today was packed with fun, creativity, and a special visitor! Campers enjoyed a surprise visit from a bunny, giving everyone a chance to interact with and learn about these adorable furry friends.
The creativity continued as campers designed colorful popsicle magnets and created vibrant tie-dye shirts that turned out amazing! One of the highlights of the day was making homemade ice cream from scratch and topping it with delicious homemade caramel and chocolate sauces. Needless to say, there were lots of smiles and happy taste testers!
From crafting and creating to making sweet treats and special memories, today was another wonderful day at camp. We love watching friendships grow and seeing campers try new things each day!

We Are Overwhelmed with Gratitude!
As we prepare for another incredible school year, we want to thank our amazing community for your trust, support, and encouragement. Because of your belief in our mission, we are excited to share that our 2nd–8th-grade classes are officially full for the 2026–2027 school year! ❤️
Watching Canyon Heights Christian Academy grow has been such a blessing, and we are grateful for every family that has joined us on this journey.
This milestone is especially meaningful because we are committed to intentional growth. By maintaining small class sizes, we can preserve the culture, relationships, individualized attention, and discipleship opportunities that make our school unique.
We still have a limited number of openings in our Kindergarten and 1st-grade classes! If you are seeking a Christ-centered, hands-on educational experience where students are loved and encouraged to grow in faith and academics, we would love to connect with you.
Thank you for helping us build a community that is truly Rooted in Excellence and Truth.

Another fun-filled day at Canyon Heights Summer Camp!
Today, our campers put their creativity to work by designing beautiful bean mosaics, turning simple materials into colorful works of art.
We also enjoyed some special time playing with Olive the pup, who brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and tail wags to camp!
In the kitchen, campers helped create delicious pizzas that were a huge hit at lunchtime. Between crafts and cooking, everyone had a blast playing with bubbles and enjoying gym time, which is always a favorite way to burn off energy, stay active, and have fun with friends.
Every day at camp is filled with opportunities to create, explore, learn, and build lasting memories. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Week 2 of Summer Camp is Off to an Amazing Start!
Today was filled with fun, creativity, laughter, and new friendships! We were especially happy to welcome several new faces to camp this week. It has been wonderful watching both returning and new campers jump right in, get involved, and begin building connections with one another.
Our campers started the day by baking delicious chocolate chip muffins, which were a huge success. They also designed and decorated their own hats and visors, creating unique keepsakes to wear throughout camp.
One of the highlights of the day was creating camp names using the last letter of each camper's first name and the month they were born. The results were absolutely hilarious and had everyone laughing together.
We also played "Would You Rather? Camp Edition," which led to some surprising answers. Many of the campers said they would rather see a bear than a coyote, something that definitely sparked a lot of discussion!
Our STEM Challenge Center was a favorite. Campers spent time building and creating with marble runs, Brain Flakes, Magna-Tiles, Pix-Brix, and other STEM materials, putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to work.
Gym time was another highlight of the day. Campers enjoyed volleyball, pickleball, football, and plenty of tag games, staying active while having fun together.
More than anything, we loved watching friendships form and seeing campers encourage one another throughout the day. Whether they were working together on STEM projects, sharing laughs during games, or cheering each other on in the gym, the sense of community was evident everywhere.

We wrapped up an amazing week with candles, planting oregano and thyme, learning how green onions can regrow in water before being transplanted into soil, finishing our chalk mosaics, and enjoying a game of Clue.
One of today's biggest highlights was pizza making! The campers helped make homemade pizza sauce from scratch, then topped freshly made dough with the sauce and cheese to create delicious pizzas. For time's sake, we kept it simple with cheese pizzas today, but they were such a hit that we're bringing pizza day back next week with toppings galore!
What a blessing it has been to watch friendships grow, creativity flourish, and children build confidence throughout the week. Thank you to all of our wonderful camp families for making Week 1 so special.
We're excited to do it all again next week with more laughter, learning, friendship, and unforgettable summer memories!

Today, our campers made delicious Fruity Pebble treats, prepared their candle tins by placing the wicks for tomorrow's candle-making project, and put their engineering skills to the test with a catapult challenge. After building their catapults, they competed to see whose creation could launch a marshmallow the farthest!
The fun continued with puzzles, marble runs, flag football, piano playing, and even a little singing.
One of the greatest gifts we can give children is time to simply be kids, building friendships, sharing experiences, and growing together in community. Watching these friendships blossom has been such a joy.
At the beginning of the week, many of these children had never met each other. Just a few days later, they are laughing together, encouraging one another, and already asking if they can come back and join in the fun next week too! ❤️

Today, we switched things up and handed the reins to the kids, and they did an incredible job!
Whether naturally extroverted or more reserved, students stepped up, shared their talents, and encouraged one another. Watching the community they are building unfold has been such a sweet part of our week.
Our student leaders taught slime-making, soccer tricks, bracelet-making, Pix Brix design, LEGO building, and even helped make delicious grilled cheese sandwiches!
Today was a beautiful reminder that we can always learn something new from our classmates. We are so proud of these amazing kids and the confidence, kindness, and leadership they are developing!
The excitement is already continuing into tomorrow, as several other students have volunteered to teach activities of their own. We can't wait to see what new skills, talents, and passions they share with the group!
