Blue Cactus ABA

Meet our lovely BCBA, Marissa! Marissa received her Master’s Degree in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis in 2022 and will be started her Doctorate Program for Occupational Therapy this September. Her goal is to work as a BCBA while attending her Occupational Therapy program in order to incorporate various modalities into her methods of care and intervention.

Her favorite things about working at Blue Cactus are the team’s dedication eagerness to learn and seeing the kids having a blast with their peers and RBT.

🪴📚🧁When Marissa is not creating new goals for kiddos or leading RBTs, you can find her gardening, baking, and reading. We love having such a compassionate BCBA support and lead us at Blue Cactus!

🌵✨Meet Blue Cactus’ founder/owner/ BCBA, Jennica! Jennica has been in the ABA field for 21 years and has her Master’s in Counseling Psychology. She began her career in ABA in 2005 and in 2011, started South Sound Behavior Therapy with over 50 well-trained Behavior Technicians. She is currently focused on growing our team in Mesa, Arizona and supporting families, kiddos, and BCA team members.

Jennica feels fortunate to blend her passion for learning and science while working with families and seeing each child progress.

🏔️🎨🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒When she’s not in clinic, Jennica enjoys painting furniture, hiking, and spending time with her family.

We are lucky to have her knowledge and guidance at Blue Cactus!

🌵Meet our amazing BT, Shannon! Shannon has been in ABA for almost a year and loves helping kiddos live their best lives. She currently has her BCAT certification and is pursuing her RBT certification.

📈She loves being part of the Blue Cactus Team because she feels supported and there are several learning opportunities.

🖌️🥾🧼🏕️When Shannon is not working with kiddos, she loves to draw, make soap, hike, go camping, and make jewelry. Thank you Shannon for being a great addition to Blue Cactus!

🎓Meet our great new RBT, Jing He! Jing He has recently earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from ASU and minored in Early Childhood Education. She hopes to continue her education and pursue her Master’s Degree in Learning Design and Educational Technology to design curriculum for children from diverse backgrounds.

🌱Jing He loves ABA because she knows we’re making meaningful changes and is helping kiddos to live a fulfilling life. Her favorite things about Blue Cactus are the supportive and interactive environment, feeling set up for success, and the support she receives having a direct translation into the quality of care and progress she sees in our clients.

🧗🏻‍♀️☕️📕 When she isn’t helping our kiddos grow, she likes to dance, rock climb, hike, read, and make coffee! We love having her on our team!

Meet our delightful RBT Lexie! Lexie has been with us at Blue Cactus since November 2025 and has been a lovely addition to our team.

Her favorite thing about ABA is seeing the difference she is making in her clients’ lives and witnessing their improvement. She loves the problem-solving aspect of ABA as well. Lexie’s favorite thing about Blue Cactus is the support she receives and how dedicated each employee is. She hopes to become a BCBA in the future or go into the field of psychology.

When she is not working with her kiddos, you can find Lexie gaming, crocheting, or having game nights with friends. Thank you for being on our team Lexie🎉💙.
