Today, Gov. Doug Ducey and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman extended the closure of Arizona's schools through Friday, April 10. More details: https://azgovernor.gov/governor/news/2020/03/governor-ducey-superintendent-hoffman-announce-two-week-extension-school

EVIT administrators and faculty are currently developing online instruction and enrichment activities that will start mid- to late-next week, and will help prepare EVIT students to earn industry certifications or to develop a portfolio of their work that can be used to help secure employment or admission to post-secondary schools.

Jessica Berger and her second-year EVIT Veterinary Assistant students were learning to wrap surgical gowns for sterilization today. It may sound easy but there is a particular way to wrap the materials gowns so they are ready for use after sterilization that can be a bit challenging.

Also, we also got to visit with some of the students' animal friends as well as catch a quick lesson in nail trimming on a small bird.
