We have two volunteer opportunities this week!

1️⃣ We’re looking for a few more volunteers for a small after school painting project (minimal experience required) on Tuesday 9/8 @ 3:30-~530pm. Just reply to this thread if interested.

★ GRANDPARENTS DAY ★ FRIDAY 9/11 ★

In honor of National Grandparent’s Day, students can invite their grandparent (or another special person) to pack up a lunch and join them in the cafeteria during lunch. The lunch schedule is adjusted for this special day.

Grandparents, please bring your own lunch and refer to the schedule.

Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk.

Please do not arrive more than 10 mins prior to your student’s lunch time as space is limited. There will be a place to wait for Grandparents who have other students in another grade level with whom they wish to visit.

📚The Book Fair in the library will be open during this period. You are invited to check it out!

🐴Meridian PTO Board Meeting Recap🐴

We had a great meeting and wanted to share a few updates with our Mustang families!

🎉 Impact report: 335 volunteer hours spent! Thank you volunteers for making Meridian amazing!

🏫 ‘26-‘27 Campus Improvement Initiatives
1. Recess refresh (benches, sports equipment, drinking fountain repair, concrete games paint)
2. Staff work room/break room refresh (fresh paint, fridge for PTO drink sales, Cricut, label makers, lockers, lunch chairs, ice machine, etc)
3. Mural Project 🎨- We’re looking into options for a progressive campus mural and exploring ways our community can help bring it to life.

🤝 Building Our Mustang Community
We’re brainstorming fun, low-effort ways for families to connect, ideas like coffee walks, craft nights, and possible spring events like Family Bingo Night were brainstormed!

Our earnings for yesterday’s Dine & Donate were $480.71! That was another good turn out! Thank you Meridian families for your support.

The competition was very close!! Mrs. Ekstrom’s 2nd grade class WINS the pizza party!! 🍕🍕🍕

Parent-teacher conferences are right around the corner, and we’re serving up a potato bar with all the fixins for all those extra hours the staff are putting in! If you’d like to support our teachers and supply anything for this event you can find the sign up below. Thanks so much for always showing up for our Mustang family!

We are organizing a Baked Potato Bar for our teachers & staff to enjoy during Parent Teacher Conferences. If you would like to donate a topping, please sign up below! Drop off items at the front office by Thursday, September 17 by 9:00am. Thank you for feeding our teachers! We appreciate you!
